Grade matching is a structured comparison, not a promise of drop-in equivalence. The current grade, producer data, formulation context and finished-product tests should all be considered before a candidate moves to regular use.
What a useful comparison needs
A grade name alone may not capture producer-specific ranges or the way a compound processes. Provide the current TDS or COA when available and identify the properties that matter most.
Document Comparison
Review designation, typical properties, producer information and available batch documentation.
Application Context
Connect the raw material to the finished product, processing route and service environment.
Trial Plan
Agree the sample quantity, control material, observations and finished-product tests before evaluation.
Information to Provide
- Current producer and complete grade name
- TDS, COA or internal specification
- Compound and process context
- Critical raw-material and finished-product tests
- Reason for evaluating an alternative
No Automatic Equivalence
Candidate grades must be validated in the buyer’s own formulation and production. Linwell does not guarantee identical processing or finished-product performance.
